DAME PAULETTE ATTIE: LA CRÈME DE LA CRÈME. SHOWBIZ STAR OF THE YEAR, by
MAXIMILLIEN de LAFAYETTE.
To call Ms. Attie "Divine" or "Sensational" is a childish approach to understand, feel, sense, explore and admire the beautifully intelligent and warmly captivating multidimensional art and multifaceted universe of her creativity. Ms. Attie is larger than life and her talents transcends the ordinary frontiers of limited minds and those who pretend to know art and music without rendering homage only and only to those artists who brought beauty to our world, sun to our homes, fresh breeze to our prairies and a delightful madness to our dreams, wishes and fantasies. Ms. Attie brought those and much more... She brought class, style, elegance, nostalgia, finesse, unbelievable originality, savoir-faire, warmth and depth to the world of music, stage, , radio, television, chansons, operas, and humanities. And what she brought define the standards of excellence in art. You knew the woman as a dazzling and a bright star. But this is NOT enough. P.20- 24

8.PHOTOGRAPHY: CONRAD OLIVIER, BEST PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR,
by MAXIMILLIEN de LAFAYETTE.
If you manage to freeze time and bring it back to life in your camera, you become a magician- photographer. If you succeed in conversing with nature and unfold its secrets through lights, shadows and forbidden thoughts, using a camera and its eloquent silence, you walk through immortality and cross the bridge of human banality. For photography is a divine art, and the photographer who captures the hidden and the secret, the holy and the damned, the fragile whispers of time and the unseen is the parallel definition of an immortal artist. Conrad Olivier is that kind of photographer.P.198 - 208

9.
CABARET DRAMA. THE RISE AND FALL OF "LA GOULUE".
THE FIRST QUEEN OF PARISIAN BURLESQUE CABARET: ENCHANTMENT
AND HUMAN DRAMA OF THE WORLD OF CABARET,
by MAXIMILLIEN DE LAFAYETTE.
Her fall was as dramatic and spectacular as her rise and fame. She earned a fortune but spent it on friends, the needy, the poor, the homeless, the gigolos and scary business investments, including a partnership in an animal-taming act. The once upon a time, famous and wealthy "artiste" became homeless, and old before her time. She was a striper with a heart larger than life but her generosity did not save her from poverty. In 1925 she was found toothless and white-haired in Neuilly-sur-Marne. She returned to Montmartre in 1928 to sell peanuts, cigarettes, roses, cheap dried fruits and matches on the miserable streets of the poor districts of Paris and sometimes near the Moulin Rouge. Yes, she was the toast of Paris. While selling cigarettes in the streets, nobody recognized "La Reine Du Cabaret", the former queen of the Parisian Cabaret and entertainment. She died in 1929 without a name...she had hard time convincing the priest who gave her the last holy sacrament that she was indeed "La Goulue." This is her story and the tale of the early days of Montmatre cabaret and Parisian Can Can... P.209 -222
